Manipur Science Centre, a favourite place for State kids, where they can learn Science while playing has added another innovative idea to teach Science in an entertaining way � the 3-D Theatre.
The theatre, first of its kind in the entire North eastern region, will screen three dimensional Science films for the visitors of the Centre from tomorrow.

Science Technology and Information Technology (ST & IT) Minister Phungzathang Tonsing inaugurated the 50-seat theatre in a function held at the auditorium of the Centre this afternoon.
The Minister was the chief guest of the solemn occasion.
ST & IT Commissioner Ram Muivah, ST & IT Director Uttam Chand Laishram and former ST & IT Director S Modhusudan were also present in the function as functional president and guests of honour respectively.
The theatre set up with the support of National Commission for Science Museum (NCSM), Kolkata was developed with a cost of Rs 13 lakhs.
The movie house will screen 15-minute 3-D Science films daily except Monday in a nominal charge of Rs 10 per head.
ST & IT Director Uttam Chand Laishram while talking to The Sangai Express on the sidelines of the inaugural function said that Manipur Science Centre, which is already a very popular place not only to kids but also to adults would now attract more visitors with the induction of the new attraction in the form of 3-D Theatre.
He further said that in addition to various learning equipotent installed inside the Centre, the lust green park on the premises of the Centre makes very suitable for everybody to hang out.
The Centre has now a small Cafeteria to cater the visitors as well, he added.
Uttam Chand further informed that ST & IT Department has sent a proposal amounting Rs 1.5 crore to DONER for the construction of a full-fledged digital planetarium for the State.
Apart from this proposal, he added, the Department is also planning to add more sections for the Centre.
The Department has also requested to the Indian Air Force to present a model of MIG-21 fighter aircraft, similar to the one gifted to Sainik School, Imphal.
The Director further said, the Centre, which was set up with an objective to popularise Science in the State now earns a revenue of around Rs 1 lakh every year.
Saying that May to July is the pick month for the Centre, Uttam Chand said that at least 10 buses of school children visit the Centre every day during this time.
