Addressing the gathering, the general secretary of the outfit, Ch Hangsing said that the day is meant to remember the sacrifice of the late K Hangsing and other martyred souls.
At the moment, KRA has four Battalions namely, Khing Japao, Kil Khuang, NL Bn (Karbianglong) and ZP Bn, he said, while informing that the strength of each Battalion is anywhere between 150 and 300 cadres.
Though the North Eastern region has many armed organisations, the KRA is not against the idea of working together with others which have similar principles.
At the moment, the KRA has reached understanding with numerous armed outfits operating in the region, he asserted.
However, the general secretary said that if any of the other armed outfits enter their area of operation and target them, then such groups would be taken as an enemy.
Though the KRA has entered into a Suspension of Operation agreement with Central forces, the same has still not been extended with the State forces, he explained and added that if permitted, KRA would continue with the SoO agreement.
The aim of the KRA is to unify all Kuki inhabited areas into one single unit and gain sovereignty, said Hangsing.
However if the other revolutionary organisations want to stay united, then KRA will agree to such a proposal, he added.
To a question on what the stand of the KRA is to the demand of the Meitei Sanamahi worshippers to grant them ST status, Hangsing said that the party supports all endeavour to protect one's culture and identity.
