MSME Deputy Director calls for healthy competition among agripreneurs

Imphal, November 28 2025: Dr Sinam Yoirentomba Meetei, Deputy Director, MSME.

Food Park Nilakuthi, Imphal East has encouraged entrepreneurs in the State to develop a healthy competition among themselves to make their product innovative and unique.

The Deputy Director was speaking at the valedictory function of the 3-Day Entrepreneurship Development Programme for Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) under MOVCDNER, held at the ICAR Manipur Centre Training Hall on Friday.

The Entrepreneurship Development Programme was organised by ICAR Manipur Centre, Imphal in collaboration with Clover Organic Private Ltd Dehradun, Uttarakhand Service Provider under MOVCDNER of Department of Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Government of Manipur.

Attending the function as the chief guest, Dr Yoiremtomba said, "It is time for farmers to convert into an entrepreneur to increase their income and profitability" .

He also advised entrepreneurs to register themselves at Udyam to get recognised and receive the benefit and support of various schemes and policies.

Dr Ch Basudha Devi, Head of ICAR Manipur Centre appreciated the Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation for sponsoring the training programme.

She also asserted that FPCs in the State need to link-up with various institutions to make their business successful and sustainable.

Dr Kh Rishikanta Singh, Course Director was also present at the event.
