Kangpokpi celebrates Murmu's election as President of India

Kangpokpi, July 24 2022:
Dressed in their tribal attires, the people of the tribal-dominated Kangpokpi assembly constituency celebrated Droupadi Murmu's election as the 15th President of India.
The victorious celebration
organised under the aegis of
BJP Kangpokpi Mandal was
held in the presence of local
MLA Nemcha Kipgen, who
is the minister of Textiles,
Commerce, and Industry and
Cooperation.
Leaders of the local town
bodies Kangpokpi Town Committee, Kangpokpi Women
Welfare Organisation, and
Kangpokpi Youth Union also
participated in the celebration.
Congratulating 'Odisha's
daughter', Droupadi Murmu, who belongs to one of
the largest tribal groups in
the country, the Santhals,
the Kangpokpi people sang
and danced while shouting a
slogan, "Droupadi Murmuji
Zindabad".
They also conveyed
their gratitude to the NDA
leaders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and others for
nominating Droupadi Murmu
as its presidential candidate
who became the 15th President of India.
Addressing the gathering,
minister Nemcha Kipgen said
that for a tribal woman to hold
the highest post in the largest
democratic country is a historic moment for the country, adding that her (Doupadi)
competence and experience
in administrative and social
works will immensely benefit
the country.
Nemcha continued, "The
day when our new President
was declared victory, representatives of only two states
- Odisha and Manipur - were
allowed to enter the President's residence to greet her
which shows that the NDAled BJP government under the
leadership of Prime Minister
Narendra Modi has truly given
utmost importance to our tiny
state Manipur."
She then said, "Our Prime
Minister Narendra Modi's
mantra 'Sabka Saath, Sabka
Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas' has truly played a
vital role in India's inclusive
growth as has been proven by
the election of a tribal woman
to hold the highest post of the
country" .
The minister urged the tribal populace of her constituency, often referred as Mini-India, to be the ambassador and best example of "Unity in Diversity" .
BJP Kangpokpi Mandal president Thanglensei Kipgen also conveyed his congratulations to Droupadi Murmu.
He distributed sweets to all the patients at District Hospital Kangpokpi the day Droupadi Murmu was declared elected as the 15th President of India.
