Winner crown for Thadoi

Imphal, June 22 2026: Thadoi Yumnam has been crowned the winner of Miss Universe Manipur 2026 and will represent Manipur at Miss Universe India 2026 which will be held in July.

Altogether 20 contestants took part in the grand finale held at Chandrakirti Auditorium, Palace Compound on Sunday.

While Thadoi Yumnam was crowned Miss Universe Manipur 2026, Zeneva Laikhuram and Alish Maibam won the first runner-up and second runner-up titles respectively.

Chengloulembi Ksh won the Beauty with a Purpose subtitle, Angelina Hidam won Best Personality subtitle, Dolina Thokchom won the subtitle for Best Evening Gown, Thadoi Yumnam bagged Best Catwalk subtitle while the Best Photogenic subtitle went to Luxmi Longjam.

Miss Universe Manipur 2026 contest was held with well known fashion designer Robert Naorem as State director and former model Sheetal Sharma as choreographer and director.

Jury members of the grand finale were Miss Universe India 2025 Manika Vishwakarma, Miss Universe India 2014 Noyonita Lodh, Miss Universe India's director of franchise operation Amjad Khan, dermatologist Dr Hijam Melanda and entrepreneur Miridul Patni.

Speaking at the grand finale, Robert Naorem said that fashion is not necessarily about status symbol, glitz or luxuriance but it is a global industry and a career for many people.

It is also an expression of one's culture and traditions, he said.

The audience of the grand finale included Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, the First Lady of Manipur and many top ranking Government officials.
