Imphal, February 21: Along with formation of a JAC in connection with the abduction of Ngangbam Mangoljao who is an Executive Engineer in PWD and his wife Ngangbam Ongbi Shanti Devi , who is an SO in IFCD, allegedbly by armed cadres of Kuki Liberation Army (KLA), the JAC has appealed to the outfit to set the couple free on humanitarian ground within February 23 .

The JAC was formed today during a public meeting held at Kangla Sangomsang, the locality of the abducted couple.

Setting February 23 as the deadline for the safe release of the abducted couple, the meeting resolved to launch various intense agitations with the support of other civil organisations if the demand is not met.

Later talking to mediapersons, a spokesperson of the JAC contended that since the abduction of the couple is related to the PWD, the higher authorities of the PWD should make sincere efforts toward securing their safe release at the earliest soon.
