JCILPS warns all ILP pass scamsters

Imphal, July 20 2024: The Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) has forewarned that the unau-thorised issuance of Inner Line Permit System (ILPS) passes will continue until and unless selling of fake Aadhaar cards is not stopped.

Speaking to the media at its office at Konjeng Hajari Leikai today, JCILPS convenor Thiyam Saratchandra urged every individual who runs fake ILPS and Aadhaar card racket to appear before the committee and discontinue their illicit business.

Take responsibility for all eventuality if the ultimatum is not heeded, he cautioned.

Saying that the policy and regulation formulated to protect the indigenous people of Manipur remain ineffective and the legislators, bureaucrats and law enforcement agency must be blamed for it, Saratchandra nonetheless lauded the State police for arresting a group of people including a Government official who are involved in issuing over 3,500 labours cards from different places.

He said that JCILPS will endorse every initiative taken up by the Government and the authorities concerned to protect the indi- genous people of Manipur.
