An appointment with the Governor has been sought by BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sarda to register a strong protest against the Gwaltabi incident where journalists were forced to conceal "Manipur" written on their bus enroute to Ukhrul today.
BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary, Pangambam Premananda Meitei said this while speaking to reporters at the party's office at Nityaipat Chuthek.
The BJP Manipur Pradesh strongly condemns the Gwaltabi incident, he said.
Central security forces forcing the journalists to conceal "Manipur" displayed on the bus hurt the sentiments of the people.
The BJP Manipur Pradesh will not remain silent.
It will take appropriate action and register a strong protest with the Governor, he said.
The party's State president, A Sarda has sought an appointment to meet the Governor.
The party president will discuss the incident with the Governor and urge him to look into the incident for appropriate action against individuals involved, Premananda said.
