Dr Ranjan gives slip to reporters via departure gate

Imphal, October 16 2024: Even as the people of Manipur were eagerly awaiting to learn what was discussed in the key meeting of State legislators held at New Delhi yesterday, Health Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan who is also the spokesperson of the State Government and attended the meeting evaded media personnel upon his arrival in Imphal and left the airport by exiting from the departure gate instead.

A group of media personnel went to Bir Tikendrajit International Airport on learning that Water Resources Minister Awangbow Newmai and Dr Sapam Ranjan are returning to Imphal on an Indigo flight.

While the media personnel were waiting for the Ministers at the arrival gate, Dr Sapam Ranjan left the airport by coming out from the departure gate instead.

Initially, the escort party of Dr Sapam Ranjan was seen parking on the side of the arrival gate but the Minister came out from the departure gate instead and left the place.

The media persons, however, interacted with Awangbow Newmai for about three minutes.

After interacting with the Naga MLA, the media personnel waited for Dr Ranjan to interview him but he never came out from the arrival gate.

Later, it was found that Dr Ranjan had left the airport from the departure side instead.
