Raj Medicity reopens

Raj Medicity which was closed for some days on account of flood would be reopened from tomorrow (Monday) .
Speaking to media persons at the hospital today, Raj Medicity managing director cum chairman Haobijam Rajen said that the hospital was closed for 18 days after it was submerged by flood.
As flood waters gushed into the hospital rooms all of a sudden, all the in-patients were shifted to the hospital's B block.
As the B block too got flooded, the patients were transferred to other hospitals, Rajen said.
Altogether 85 patients including dialysis patients were undergoing treatment in the hospital when the flood submerged the hospital.
Saying that the Imphal West DC and the SP extended invaluable aid in shifting patients from the hospital, the managing director cum chairman conveyed gratitude to NDRF, Arambai Tenggol and other organisations for their help in shifting patients.
On the day the hospital got submerged by the flood, some patients had just undergone surgical operations but they had to be shifted elsewhere without getting proper post operative care, Rajen said.
He also expressed regret for the inconveniences and difficulties faced by patients because of the flood.
He added that the hospital would be reopened from tomorrow.
