Pambei-led UNLF mourns

The Pambei-led UNLF and its armed wing MPA have mourned the demise of its Lieutenant Sagolsem Loijing alias Bocha.
A press release issued by the outfit's Department of Publicity and Education Secretary Charairongba Thokchom said that Lt Loijing alias Bocha died due to a medical problem at around 5.30 am of September 9, 2025 at a base camp of the party's Kilo Region.
Lt Sagolsem Loijing alias Bocha s/o late S Kunjo and late S Leirentombi of Langathel Mayai Leikai, Thoubal district was at the Kilo Region base camp for a particular task.
Lt Loijing joined the party on January 9, 1999 and completed BMT in the MPA's 16th batch.
Soon after, he was posted at several MPA battalions and took part in many armed confrontations with Indian military forces.
Then he was transferred to LAKSA (Lamlen Khunou Special Area) on September 1, 2007 and worked there for several years.
From LAKSA, Lt Loijing was transferred to the general headquarters in 2023 .
For accomplishing several tasks assigned by the party, Loijing alias Bocha was promoted to higher ranks and he was promoted to the rank of Second Lieutenant on February 9, 2017.He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on February 9, 2020.Lt Loijing was a man who was ever ready to sacrifice his entire life for the nation.
He was a man of discipline and diligence who stood firm for the party till his last breath, the outfit said.
Lt Loijing is survived by his wife, two minor daughters and a son, it said.
The outfit has also shared the pain and grief being endured by the bereaved family, relatives and friends.
