Imphal, August 10 2026:
The Working Committee, Joint Tribes Council Manipur (WC-JTCM) has appeal to every Zeliangrong Inpui citizen, civil society organization, student body, village council, and political group to voluntarily refrain from all forms of mass gatherings, public rallies, and political campaigns until justice is visibly served for the six abducted and killed.
The appeal came even as the remains of the six men who were abducted from Leilon Vaiphei Village on May 13 remain unclaimed awaiting justice at JNIMS mortuary.
"This is not a call to silence.
This is a call to focus.
Let us not scatter our energy or divert our attention.
Let us not allow our grief to be exploited or our movement to be diluted by distractions.
Instead, let us unite our mind, spirit, and collective strength toward one singular goal: justice for our six sons," said the Working Committee, Joint Tribes Council Manipur.
