Study, revise : BOSEM Chairman

No unfair means will be allowed in the High School Leaving Certificate Examination, scheduled to be held from February 19, said Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) Chairman Akham Joykumar.
He said this at the "19th Eikhoi Lairik Ningthina Tamsi" programme, organised by the Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) at Millennium Institute of Sciences at Mayaikoibi, Kwakeithel today.
The HSLC Examination will be held starting February 19, and it is time for students to study and revise what they have learned for the examination, he said.
He encouraged students to study sincerely and not to use unfair means.
Strong action will be taken up against students who are found using mobile phones or any other unfair means.
Such students will be punished, he said.
In the examination, students must write and express their ideas and understanding of the subjects, he added.
The conduct of the examination last year was affected by the Manipur crisis.
The examination this February will be conducted smoothly.
While students must not use unfair means, teachers who are found violating the law and aiding students use unfair means will also be punished, Joykumar said.
The BOSEM Chairman said the examination centres will be announced in the next 2-3 days.
State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Diretor Aheibam Romen, MIS Principal Wahengbam Jinita and MSF president Hijam Roshan Singh attended the programme.
