The PCCF was speaking at the closing function of a week-long golden jubilee celebration of Manipur Zoological Garden today.

Speaking at the closing function held at Manipur Zoological garden, Anurag Bajpai emphasised the need to take care of wildlife.

He stressed that conservation of wildlife is necessary for the survival of mankind.

He appealed to all sections of people not to kill wild animals but cooperate with the authorities in developing the Manipur Zoological Garden.

As a part of the function, the PCCF opened a conservation/breeding enclosure of Asian Giant Tortoise.

He also planted a sapling of Uningthou, the State tree.

Chief Conservator of Forest/Wildlife L Joykumar, Manipur Zoological Garden Director L Biramangol and other officials were also present at the function.
