Imphal, July 07 2024: A 36-year old internally displaced man presently staying in the relief camp of Kwakta Sericulture farm, Bishnupur district under Phougakchao Ikhai Police Station was found hung to death inside his room last night at around 9.15 .

The deceased identified as Angom Premkumar s/o (L) Kula of Churchandpur Tuibong Forest Gate was living in the prefabricated houses built by the Government at Kwakta Sericulture farm for IDPs, sources informed.

Premkumar was staying alone in room number PF- V/20.He was found hung to death inside the room by some other IDPs living in the prefabricated house.

The wife of the deceased is presently staying at her parental home for medical treatment while their son and daughter are staying in a school boarding located at Kakching.

The two children are studying in class 6 and class 2 respectively It is said that Premkumar was earning his family's livelihood by working as a casual labourer.

The dead body has been handed over to the authority concerned after post mortem at RIMS morgue.

Meanwhile Phougakchao Ikhai Police have registered a UD case for necessary legal procedure.
