Along with convening a review meeting of the maintenance and the new projects to be taken up by the State during the 13th Finance Commission this afternoon, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has instructed all the Departments to submit necessary proposals to the State Finance Commission cell within July 15 .
Chaired by Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, the meeting was attended by Ministers belonging to various Departments, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Commissioners, Secretaries and Heads of Departments.
The proposals have been sought for allocation of fund under the 13th Finance Commission for various purposes like building maintenance, road maintenance and payment of salary and allowance of the employees.
Proposals related to absence of full-fledged offices of the Transport and Police Head quarters, construction of school buildings of the District Council and class rooms of the School education are also expected to be submitted to the Commission for funding.
Chairman of 13th Finance Commission and former Union Finance Secretary Bijay Kilkar is expected to arrive at Imphal either in August or September this year to get the report from the State so that the same can be published by next year.
