Bhalla visits, reviews situation at Chandel

Imphal, May 07 2025: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla today visited Chandel and reviewed overall law and order and administrative developments in the border district.

The Governor inaugurated the District Library, Chandel and Information Technology Centre at the district headquarters, said a press release from Raj Bhavan.

Later, the Governor chaired a review meeting at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner's office where he reviewed various developmental initiatives including Centrally sponsored schemes taken up in the district.

Chandel Deputy Commissioner L Nandakumar Singh along with other District Level Officers (DLOs) gave a detailed presentation on various developmental programmes which are being taken up in the district.

Chandel Superintendent of Police Babitarani Swain also highlighted the various security measures which are in place to maintain law and order and other security related issues in the district.

The Governor directed the officials to ensure maximum benefits be delivered to the people.

He also interacted with Civil Society Organisations and heard their grievances.

Upon his arrival at the district headquarters, the Governor was accorded a warm welcome by the Deputy Commissioner, SP and DLOs.
