Imphal, June 06 2009: Promising safety, security and prosperity of all Manipuris, the KCP (MC) Lallumba group has spelt out agenda for which the armed outfit had been fighting for and issues it would take up during the peace talks.

In a statement issued by the Group's president Lallumba ahead of concretising the suspension of operations (SoO) agreement with the Central and the State Governments, the outfit affirmed it will continue to work for the people of manipur.

The agenda, according to the president, for which the KCP (MC) Lallumba Group had been fighting for but has now agreed to be a party in the proposed peace process include providing a safe and secure environment for all the people staying in Manipur, for betterment of education and infrastructure development.

further mentioning that ensuring investment-friendly environment, eradication of corruption, betterment of basic amenities including health care facilities, replenishing fast depleting forest cover and to help the State Government in proper and expeditious implementation of various welfare schemes would be the main focus of the Group, Lallumba also pledged to oppose those individuals/UG groups who are killing/harming non-Manipuri workers and businessmen as 'the whole State is getting bad image and it is also hampering economic development of manipur'.

To work against extortion, smuggling and illegal activities; provision of safe and secure environment to all the businessmen and contractors who are generating employment and money; support businessmen and contractors who utilize resources, infrastructure and material from the State; to work for free education of the economically unsound section of the society; boosting morale of sportspersons; and additional vacancies for Manipuri youth in the Army and police forces are the other agenda enlisted by the president who also sought support and favour of the people of manipur.

Lallumba also disclosed that one Yoheiba Luwang is the president chief of army of KCP (MC) .
