Imphal, March 06 2025: Three more teachers have been arrested in connection with leaking the Physics question paper of the ongoing Higher Secondary Examination being conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) .

Sources said that three more teachers were arrested by a team of Cyber Crime police station, Manipur from different parts of Thoubal district yesterday after two teachers were arrested on March 4 in connection with the same case of leaking the Physics question paper.

The arrested teachers have been identified as Khangembam Arundas (60) s/o (L) Birachandra of Thoubal Kshetri Leikai, Laishram Prabin (31) s/o Jadumani of Yairipok Tulihal Laishram Leikai and Sapam Shivdutta (35) s/o Manibabu of Khongjom Bazar.

They were produced before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal East by a team of Cyber Crime police station with a prayer to remand them in police custody for further investigation.

The APP submitted that the alleged accused were arrested in a follow-up action for their alleged involvement in connection with the Physics question paper leak case and prayed for five days police custody remand.

The Court, after hearing the submission of the APP and on perusal of the case record, remanded the accused teachers in police custody for five days till March 10 for further investigation of the case.

Mention may be made that earlier on March 4, two teachers identified as Ningombam Jagdish (33) of Thoubal Okram and Maibam Sunil (33) of Nepra Company Makha Leikai, Thoubal who is also Physics teacher of Paradise English School, Thoubal were arrested by Cyber Crime police station, Manipur and remanded in police custody till March 7 .
