Imphal, November 04 2024: The 21st death anniversary of Lungnila Elizabeth was observed today at Thoi Thoi Adventure Park, Takhellambam Konjil near Hiyangthang, Imphal West.

The death anniversary function was organised by Thoi Thoi Adventure Park managing director Kh Inaoba and his family.

The main feature of the death anniversary function was offering of floral tributes to the photograph of Lungnila Elizabeth.

Lungnila Elizabeth, then just eight years old, was kidnapped by some unidentified persons from the gate of Little Flower School on November 4, 2003 .

She was then reading in Class III at the school.

The girl was brutally murdered and her decomposed body was found on November 12, 2003 at Sadokpam.

Shaken and deeply hurt by the brutal murder, all the people of Manipur came out and condemned the murder in one voice.

Lungnila Elizabeth's father Francis Ngajokpa was then a Minister in the State Government.

Kh Inaoba said that he and his family have been observing the death anniversary of Lungnila Elizabeth for the past many years.

"We have been observing the death anniversary of Lungnila Elizabeth every year with a single minded prayer that such cruel incidents never ever happen again on the soil of Manipur", he added.
