"Meeyamgi Numit" held at Thoubal

Thoubal, January 04 2025:
"Meeyamgi Numit" (People's Day) which was halted earlier for some time was successfully organised again by the District Administration Thoubal today at the Counting Hall of Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex.
Meeyamgi Numit will now be held on the first Saturday of every month.
A Subhash Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal along with District Level Officers heard various grievances and demands of the public on Meeyamgi Numit.
Speaking to the media, the Deputy Commissioner said that the District Administration is committed to facilitate benefits of various government schemes and "Meeyamgi Numit" is a platform to meet and address the grievances of the people.
He said the day has brought hope amongst the people in the district and that the government is working for the welfare of the people.
He expressed happiness as a large number of people turned out even though it was halted for a long time.
The Deputy Commissioner distributed fourteen CMHT cards, eleven CMST cards and one disability certificate to the beneficiaries.
FSSAI certificates and birth certificates were also distributed.
Various Agriculture materials like micro nutrients were also distributed to the farmers by the Deputy Commissioner.
Under the ZEO Thoubal, books were also distributed to the children of the Relief Camps.
A total number of around 523 written applications were received today including the CMHT and pension schemes for widow and old aged, and grievances related to other departments like PHED, Police, MSPDCL among others were also received.
More than twenty stalls of different departments were opened to meet the demand of the public including Police, CMO, ICDS, ZEO, MSPDCL, Veterinary, Agriculture and Fishery.
In today's "Meeyamgi Numit", ADM Lokeshor Sharma, SDO Lilong, Arvind Hanglem IAS, SDO Thoubal, high ranking police officials and other District level officers of different departments attended the programme to address the grievances of the general public.
