Imphal, November 30 2024:
The Rashtrahit Sarvopari Sangathan has urged the Government of India to launch a surgical strike against Kuki terrorists.
In a statement, Sohan Giri (president of Rashtrahit Sarvopari Sangathan) said that the boldness of Kuki terrorists who engage in anti National works like drug business, abduction, facilitating influx of illegal immigrants and attack on civilians is increasing day by day.
Saying that the issue in Manipur, if not resolved soon, will have a spillover effect on the rest of the country, he urged the Govt to take strict actions against the Kuki terrorists.
He claimed that China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar and some Opposition parties have a hand in stoking the violence in Manipur 'incited by Kuki terrorists.' Kuki terrorists launching an undeclared war to mount pressure on the Government with an unreasonable demand of separate administration is also anti-National, Sohan Giri continued and added that the effort of the Government to make India a self reliant country will yield result only when the drug trade, infiltration and all forms of terrorism are stopped.
Some of the popular demands being raised by people in Manipur amid the crisis are to restore normalcy, protect human rights and hold perpetrators accountable for their actions, provide adequate food, shelter and medical care to the displaced people, removal of AFSPA and SoO pact.
