AR organises medical, blood donation camps

As part of Operation Sadbhavana, Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at Sing-hat village in Churachandpur district on January 11 to provide essential healthcare services to the villagers, particularly those residing in remote border areas with limited access to medical facilities due to ongoing ethnic tensions in Manipur.
The camp was held in collaboration with the AR unit hospital and medical staff from the Sub-District Hospital, Singhat.
A total of 345 villagers benefitted from the medical camp, receiving consultations, treatments, and health check-ups.
Sub-District Hospital, Singhat MO in-charge Dr Steve Tun-inung also delivered an awareness talk on various prevalent health issues, further educating the villagers on preventive measures, informed PRO IGAR (S) in a release.
Meanwhile, on January 10 Assam Rifles provided emergency medical assistance by donating five units of blood to a severe anaemia patient admitted to District Hospital, Churachandpur.
According to the PRO, Assam Rifles organised a voluntary blood donation drive at the DH, Churachandpur during which five AR jawans, stationed at Headquarters Veng, Churachandpur, came forward to donate blood to a patient diagnosed with severe anaemia who urgently required dialysis and life-saving treatment.
