MLA hopes end to conflict at earliest

Wangkhei MLA Thangjam Arunkumar opined that due to complex nature of the conflict in the state the endeavours to find a tangible solution is taking time.
He, however, expressed confidence that the crisis will soon be resolved while speaking at the inauguration of a newly constructed community hall at New Checkon orf Sunday.
Arunkumar also said that the MLAs are not averse to the idea of reinstating a popular government in the state and expressed hope that the central government will understand the people's sentiment.
Reflecting on condition of roads in his assembly constituency, the MLA admitted urgent need for repairing in view of the damages caused by repeated floods.
The MLA disclosed that Keystone Infra Private Limited has been authorised to repair 56 roads in the AC, with the work delayed due to inclement weather.
He further assured that majority of said works will be completed in the coming two-three months.
The programme organised by New Checkon Senior Citizen Society was also attended by Society's founder president Longjam Nilamani, founder advisor Lourembam Binod and founder secretary Thokchom Birmangol as presidium members.
