Governor Acharya greets on Kut festival

Imphal, October 31 2024: Governor Lakhsman Prasad Acharya has extended greetings to the people of Manipur, particularly 'brethren' from the Kuki-Chin-Mizo communities on the happy and auspicious occasion of Kut festival, 2024 .

In his message, the Governor said Kut the biggest festival among the Kuki-Chin-Mizo ethnic groups is celebrated as a post-harvest festival for thanksgiving and gratitude to the Almighty for a bountiful harvest.

The festival also symbolises peace, harmony and unity rising above the barriers of caste, creed or religion.

"Let the spirit of Kut embrace one and all to strengthen the social fabric more than ever and bring prosperity to all the communities in the state," the Governor said.
