Army constructs open air gymnasium

Imphal, November 26 2024: In its continuous efforts to assist local communities and to promote health and fitness, Army constructed an open air gymnasium under Operation Sadbhavana and dedicated to the residents on Tuesday, at Phougakchao Ikhai Mamang Leikai in Bishnupur district.

In a release, PRO Defence informed that the inauguration ceremony was attended by around 150 villagers including the village chief of Phougakchao Ikhai along with chiefs of adjacent villages and members of the community.

The new gymnasium is equipped with modern outdoor fitness equipment, including an air walker, double elliptical trainer, two single chest press machines, two single shoulder press machines, a sit-up trainer, arms, etc.

In addition, various recreational activities were also conducted for the locals, said the PRO.
