Imphal, April 17 2025: Fiction & Poetry Club, Manipur, felicitated Imojeet Ningombam, editor of Mapao Literary Journal - a publication of the club - and club secretary Laishram Lenin Singh at its Uripok Khwai Brahmapur office on Thursday.

In a release, Poetry Club treasurer Keithellakpam London said Imojeet is a Manipuri poet who has been honoured with Literary Award, 2022 for his poetry compendium 'Loibi Chingum Lengdana' in 2025 by Manipuri State Kala Akademi.

Moreover, Laishram Lenin Singh was recently awarded PhD under the super vision of Manipur University School of Humanities former dean Prof Nahakpam Aruna.

He is also a recipient of Yuva Puraskar Award presented by Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi in 2021.The club felicitated the two for their contributions and encouraged them to uplift the image of both the club and the state in the future.

The felicitation programme was attended by its president Thoudam Netrajit and Sahitya Akademi awardee Budhichandra Heisnamba as the dignitaries on the dais.
