Noney, August 12 2024: With an objective to encourage the Naga community maintain neutrality amidst the ongoing ethnic tensions and work for fostering peace, Noney Battalion Assam Rifles organised a security conference at the Tupul community centre on Monday.

The conference was attended by 17 chairmen and secretaries from 9 villages representing the Naga Rongmei community, along with Tupul Women's Society secretary.

During the meeting, several suggestions were put forth by the attendees, which were duly acknowledged.

Meanwhile, Noney Battalion of Assam Rifles (East) on Monday distributed essential items at Veitum Khullen village playground during which internally displaced villagers from Jangnomphai and Khoken provided with daily .use essential items which included food and hygiene/sanitation items.
