Imphal, June 02 2022: In connection with the observance of World Environment Day, Second Battalion Manipur Rifles organised a tree plantation drive on Thursday along with a rally carried out by students of the school under the unit, top officers of the Battalion and other ranks.

The rally was flagged off from North AOC and passed through the western road of Khuman Lampak sports complex leading to Tiny Tots School before culminating at the Battalion's school.

Meanwhile, as a precursor to World Environment Day and to sensitise the locals about the importance of a clean and healthy environment, Khuga Battalion IGAR (South) organised a mass cleanliness drive at Khuga and various locations in Churachandpur district on Thursday.

According to PRO IGAR (S), the cleanliness drive was organised along with locals.

As part of the drive, an interactive session on 'Clean and Healthy Environment' was also conducted at Khuga and border villages.
