As many as 18 individuals including late Prof Naorem Sanajaoba spoke at the convention of 1993.The convention was specifically organised to make it clear that the merger of Manipur into the Indian Union executed as per the Merger Agreement signed on September 21, 1949 was an annexation, Phulindro said.
Several valid documents were produced at the convention and after threadbare deliberation, the National convention concluded that the Manipur Merger Agreement, 1949 was illegal and invalid, he said.
