Imphal, December 27: Refuting the statement issued by publicity secretary of KRA Th Misao alias Jonathan and published in some sections of the press on December 25 as baseless and unfounded, publicity secretary of KRA (U) Lenin Ch has asserted that all the members of KRA (U) were former members of KRA who had worked for the outfit for a long time.

The present president of KRA (U) David Chongloi, and its top functionaries like Rocky Chongloi and Sekham are founder members of KRA.

There is no other founder members in KRA, Lenin said, adding that KRA is today an outfit which has no one to look after it.

So all the things that Misao had said in the statement are baseless and unfounded and intended to mislead the people, Lenin said.

Stating that the looting activities on the National Highways might be being carried out at the behest of orders issued by some KRA leadership, Lenin clarified that KRA (U) has never indulged in such lootings nor would ever indulge in such anti-social activities.

Lenin further said that it may be the objective of KRA to wage war based on arms only, but KRA (U) believes that using arms alone would not able to succeed and so KRA (U) is not based on arms, rather it is based on the interest of the people.

All revolutionary outfits operating in the State should study and understand difference between the rules and regulations of KRA and KRA (U), Lenin said.

Saying that KRA (U) believes in unity, Lenin observed that if the old leadership of KRA want to join hands then their principle should be very clear instead of coming out with false charges through newspapers as it would not bring about any good.
