The Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS), Ukhrul has urged all concerned to refrain from participating in the upcoming "Tangkhul Art & Craft Exhibition" organized by 40 Assam Rifles and Ministry of Tribal Affairs scheduled for June 28 at Shangshak village in Ukhrul.
According to a statement issued by Information & Publicity TKS, Ukhrul, this step is in reaffirmation of Naga Students Federation's (NSF) decision to not cooperate with the Indian Armed Forces or paramilitary forces in any form.
Notifying the public, TKS said that "no individual, organisation, institution, forum/union under Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong shall associate/invite the Indian Armed Forces to any event in its jurisdiction.
Neither, partake in any official events of the Armed Forces" .
In case of failure to comply with their directive, full responsibility for any ensuing incidents will be placed on the defaulters and the Saklong will not be held accountable, it added.
It might be mentioned that being a federating unit of NSF, the apex Naga students' body, TKS had earlier issued a public notice endorsing the NSF's directive of non-cooperation with the Indian Armed Forces.
