Imphal, September 25 2010:
Reacting to the "misleading press statements" made by UCM and UPF in connection with the bomb attack at the Keinou Thongthak Maning Leikai residence of UCM president Yumnam Dilipkumar on September 22, the KCP-MC (Lamyanba Khuman) has clarified that it has been strictly adhering to revolutionary ethics and working in tune with the wish of the people since the outfit was set up with a vision to bring an egalitarian society.
A press release issued by the outfit's publicity officer Washington Meitei alleged that Dilipkumar in cahoots with one L Nganbi from Bishnupur prohibited extension of any monetary aid to the outfit after the school authority had already agreed to the outfit's appeal for some monetary assistance sometime back.
Saying that they have adequate evidence and witness for their acts, the outfit alleged that fake patriots and leaders have been taking a major role in creating chaos and confusion in the society by applying the outdated divide and rule policy.
Noting the need to teach a lesson to those fake leaders who talk about people's welfare while turning a blind eye to the others, the outfit gifted a bomb to Dilipkumar as a warning, the outfit said.
The outfit was compelled to take recourse to this course of action as earlier attempts to settle the matter through dialogue did not receive any positive response.
The outfit always respects genuine leaders like Lamyanba Irabot and would continue to regard with high esteem all those dedicated leaders of frontal organisations.
However, the outfit would never let pseudo leaders like Dilipkumar who allegedly maintained double-standard go scot-free.
The outfit's warning was neither against UCM nor against UPF but against Dilipkumar who has been scheming to breed factions rather than working for unification of different organisations.
Dilipkumar and Nganbi should confess their faults within ten days, it added.
