The event was held under the theme "Yoga for One Earth, One Health" in the presence of Dr N Munal Meitei, Divisional Forest Officer, Chandel.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr N Munal Meitei said that the theme "Yoga for One Earth, One Health" teaches people to safeguard the environment just as they would take care of their own health.

He added that Yoga also helps to reduce blood pressure and blood sugar, improve body flexibility and help treat body and joint pain and arthritis.

In view of its health benefits, he urged people to practice Yoga at least 15/20 minutes per day and plant trees to save the environment.
