Traffic regulations for Fish Mela worked out

Imphal, October 21 2025:
In view of the Fish Mela to be organised tomorrow at Hapta Kangjeibung, the Traffic Police has intimated a traffic regulation plan to the Superintendent of Police, Imphal East.
As per the traffic regulation plan, Gate No 1 (opposite to Advanced Hospital) and Gate No 2 (Opposite to BOAT) will be reserved exclusively for vehicle entry into the venue.
Gate No 3 (opposite to State Kala Academy) is reserved as the exit gate for all vehicles leaving the venue.
Vehicles exiting the venue may proceed towards Haokip Veng, and further select either the Sanjenthong Bridge or the Thumbuthong Bridge route for departure.
Thumbuthong Bridge
No vehicles will be permitted from Thumbuthong towards Mahabali Road.
This road will remain exclusive for exit movement only.
All vehicles crossing the bridge from Thumbuthong side shall proceed straight towards Hapta Kangjeibung and enter through Gate No 2 (opposite BOAT).
No right turn towards Govindajee crossing will be allowed.
Any other vehicles will make their exit via Mahabali crossing.
Sanjenthong Bridge
No entry of vehicles will be permitted from Sanjenthong Bridge towards Palace Compound.
No vehicles will be permitted to make entry from Sanjenthong crossing.
This road will remain exclusive for exit movement only.
Vehicles from Sanjenthong side must proceed via Andro Crossing, and then move towards the venue by taking the Bheigo Saw Mills approach, making entry through Gate No 1.All vehicles coming from Wangkhei side, Porompat side and Checkon side for the purpose of Fish Mela must proceed via Andro Crossing, and then move towards the venue by taking the Bheigo Saw Mills approach, making entry through Gate No 1 .
Parking Arrangements
All vehicles may be parked inside the venue within the designated parking zones.
Contingency parking areas will be activated as and when required at Andro Parking Area.
Proper signage and marshals will guide vehicles to available spots.
