Imphal, May 21 2026:
Demanding immediate release of the six Naga men being held hostage by Kuki terrorists, a sit-in-protest was staged today at Majorkhul here under the aegis of Kabui Mothers Association (KAMA) .
Speaking to the media, KAMA president Atompi Kameipui said that they are staging the protest demonstration to see that the voice of the worried family and people reach the Government.
The six men were captured on May 13 but their whereabouts could not be established till date.
It is also not known whether they are alive or dead, she said.
For the last three years, the people of Manipur have been enduring extreme misery.

Kukis have killed many innocent Meitei people.
Now the Kuki terrorists have started targeting Naga people, Atompi said.
In their search for a separate homeland, Kuki narco-terrorists have been challenging both Meiteis and Nagas but their (Kuki) dream will never come true, she said.
It is up to the Government to control the situation or let it escalate, Atompi said.
Although it has been nine days since the six Naga men were taken hostage by Kuki terrorists, the State Government is still sleeping, she said.
Instead of volunteering to offer ex-gratia after innocent men and women are killed, the Government must take up effective measures to prevent further killings, she added.
Meanwhile, the Zeliangrong Film Forum Manipur (ZFFM) has strongly condemned the reported abduction of six Naga civilians from Leilon Vaiphei village by Kuki militants.
Expressing serious concern over the growing atmosphere of fear and insecurity, the ZFFM has appealed to all sections of society, civil organisations, community leaders and armed groups to uphold humanity and work collectively for peace and communal harmony.
ZFFM also urged the Government and authorities concerned to take immediate and necessary steps to safely rescue the abducted civilians and ensure justice is delivered at the earliest.
