Imphal, September 20 2010: Imphal West District Police Commandos have apprehended one woman cadre of RPF/PLA who was soliciting the public and Meira Paibis to organise the forthcoming 32nd raising day of the proscribed outfit.

According to a statement issued by Senior SP of Imphal West L Kailun, at about 4 pm yesterday, on receipt of specific information about the presence of some women cadres of RPF/PLA in the general area of Thangmeiband Hijam Leikai soliciting the public and Meira Paibis to organise the forthcoming 32nd raising day of RPF on September 25 and also collecting information about non-Manipuris in Imphal area, teams of Imphal West District Police Commandos under the supervision of Addl SP (Ops), Imphal West District rushed to the area and conducted search operations.

At about 5 pm, one woman who was trying to sneak out from the cordon area was detained at the gate of one Laishram Babumacha of Thangmeiband Hijam Leikai.

On verification, she identified herself as RK Rina Devi (43) alias Ningol alias Tombi d/o RK Sanatomba Singh of Sagolband Mabudhou Mantri Leikai, a S/S Lt of RPF/PLA.

She disclosed that she joined RPF through one Rubi in 1995 and got basic military training at Mamangching in 1996.Subsequently, she was promoted to MC No.133 Lieutenant in 2008 and posted in Manipur as secretary of woman wing, RPF.

Furthermore, she disclosed that she recruited new cadres to RPF and was entrusted to organise the ensuing 32nd raising day of RPF/PLA on September 25.The celebration is coded and titled Irabot Day celebration using local Meira Paibis, local overground workers and other frontal organisations of RPF/PLA.

Some of the important leaders of Meira Paibis contacted by her include RK Landhoni Devi of Poirei Leimarol, Ima Memcha of Poirei Leimarol, Ima Renu of Poirei Ita Meira Paibi, Ima Kumu of Poirei Ita Meira Paibi, Ima Mema of Khwai Bazar, Ima Kunjarani.

She also submitted financial estimates to be used by NGOs and social organisations for organising the raising day namely SLUCO (Singjamei to Lilong area) Rs 1,35,000; AFCO (Sagolband to Malom Area) Rs 1,04,000; RUCO (Lamsang area) Rs 57,400; YUDCO (Sekmaijin Uchiwa area ) Rs 22,800 and AMALCO (Wangoi to Mayang Imphal) Rs 56,000 respectively.

However, the party has sanctioned an amount of Rs 2,97,000 only for the purpose.

The above mentioned amount has been provided by Lt RK Rina Devi through one of her assistants identified as S/S MC No.163 Lt Kanon.

She also disclosed that the Meira Paibis are also involved in collecting information of non-Manipuris in Greater Imphal area and the same was submitted to her with a view to eliminate/intimidate the non-Manipuris.

On her disclosures, some relevant documents of RPF were recovered from the house of Laishram Babumacha Singh, and the same have been seized by observing formalities.

She also disclosed the e-mail ID ([email protected]) used by her wherein many incriminating documents, which were communicated to her from other party cadres including the general secretary of RPF/PLA Gune are found, the SPP said, adding that a criminal case has been registered and investigated into it at Imphal police station.
