Language plays a vital role in national integration, said MLA, I Hemochandra at the six-day National Integration Camp which started here today.
About 150 members from Assam, Bihar, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh are participating in the six-day National Integration Camp being hosted by Manipur.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA, Hemochandra asserted that a common language is a pre-requisite so as to understand people of the nation.
With the advent of internet, the state of Manipur is now being recognised across the globe which was not in the earlier times, he said.
Stating the objective of the camp to create active participation of the youths across the country of various communities, he said that the youth symbolizes the most dynamic and vibrant section of the society.
He also added the youths are physically energetic and have the right vision for the development of the country.
He also emphasized in maintaining discipline in the state and also respecting the tradition and culture of various communities.
TN Haokip, tourism minister while emphasizing on integrity asserted that the country is constituted with various community, but live as one family.
While declaring that The Six- Day National Integration camp as a sign of integrity, he stated it will give the opportunity to expose the natural beauty of the state of Manipur and its borders to the visitors who have come from several states to participate in the camp and therefore pass on the message to their respective native places.
