ASUK boycotts Indian Independence Day
Calls bandh from 5 am to 6 pm of August 15

Alliance for Socialist Unity, Kangleipak, (ASUK), a joint boy of Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup KYKL and KCP in a statement today banned the Independence day celebration of the India which falls on August 15.The ASUK has called ban from 5 am of the day till 6 pm of the day.
Stating that in Manipur and at many part of WESEA region the puppet government of the Indian regime is preparing to celebrate the Indian independence day, the ASUK said that people of the region have no reason to celebrate the Indian Independence day.
"celebrating of the of the Indian Independence day by people who are colonised is meaningless," the statement said.
Giving the example of how a Vice Chancellor of the Manipur University have been protecting at the cost of the career of thousands of students of the state, the ASUK said that it is the perfect example of how the people have been colonised and suppressed with every means and strategy.
The way the government of India and its supporters are dealing with the issue of the VC shows the real picture of the attitude by the Indian government towards the people of the region.
The statement also elaborated on how the Indian mainland people are using every means to suppress the people of the region.
It said that still besides others the draconian law AFSPA is still enforced to suppress the people.
The statement also said that the present movement at Manipur university demanding removal of the VC is a rare movement in our state as no movement as such for removal of the VC had never been occurred in the the Manipur University.
If one study the allegations levelled against the VC in the present movement which is being moved in an united manner, there is no reason to think twice for his removal from the post.
In a state like Manipur there has been never a movement which unite the people.
The Manipur University Students had never been united in the past.
Teachers had never supported the students so openly in the past , the movement is a united movement of teachers , students and staffs.
However even after such a long time the colonial ruler still stand firm trying to distort the unity inorder to keep their representative in the Manipur University.
Its now 75 days now and over exam for higher studies of ober 15000 is still pending and career of over 50000/60000 students are put at risked.
If such is the case in University in mainland India it would not tak even 5 days, the AUSK statement said giving example of how the VC of Viswa Bharati University has been removed.
The present strategy seen is more like the Israeli defence force tried to oppress the Palestinian people by not allowing them to get proper education.
The statement of a BJP MP at the Indian Parliament which stated that the Manipur University is a den of insurgence is the attitude of the colonial regime towards its colony, the statement said.
The ASUK statement also elaborated on the various strategy which is being used by the Indian regime and the state government to divide among the community of the Manipur University so that they can control the mind of the people of the state to keep them as their slaves.
