Imphal, September 10 2025:
The Zeliangrong Baudi (ZB-AMN), the Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF-AMN), and the All Zeliangrong Students' Union (AZSU-AMN) have expressed gratitude to the NSCN/GPRN for lifting the ban and re-recognising the Zeliangrong apex bodies.
"This significant step fosters unity and strengthens the collective spirit of the Zeliangrong Naga community across Assam, Manipur and Nagaland.
We view this as a positive move toward maintaining peace and mutual understanding within the Naga family," said the Zeliangrong bodies in a joint statement.
The ban on the Zeliangrong apex bodies was placed on July 16, 2018 .
This act of lifting the ban is not merely an administrative decision, but a profound act of healing and an acknowledgment of the sentiments of the Zeliangrong community.
It marks a step towards restoring dignity, unity, and peaceful co-existence within the Naga family and signals the beginning of a shared journey towards common hope, said the bodies.
"We profoundly appreciate the wisdom of the collective leadership and the tireless efforts of the Coordination Committee of the Zeliangrong Region, whose dedication and commitment has finally brought about an end to this long and painful chapter," they said.
