Hundreds join 'Har Ghar Tiranga' bike rally

Instilling a sense of patriotism among people and promoting peace, Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Monday flagged off a "Har Ghar Tiranga" bike rally from Hapta Kangjeibung in Imphal East.
The rally was organised by the Manipur Police Department and saw the participation of hundreds of bikers from across the State.
The rally concluded at Leikun, Chandel district.
Flagging off the rally, the Chief Minister recalled that India gained independence on August 15, 1947.Since then, the people of the country have been celebrating the spirit of freedom by proudly hoisting the National tricolour.

He said that Independence Day is observed across the country to mark the importance of that historic day and urged all citizens to work together with unity and patriotism to achieve the vision of "Viksit Bharat 2047" and build a strong India.
The Chief Minister also called on everyone to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of making India the strongest Nation in the world.
Expressing confidence in the event, Khemchand Singh said he hopes that the Tiranga Yatra will be a grand success and will help bring about peace and stability in Manipur.
The rally was organised as part of the Nationwide "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign aimed at promoting National pride and unity.
The Chief Minister led the rally, which was also attended by Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam, Art and Culture Minister Kh Loken Singh, Keishamthong MLA Nishikant Singh Sapam, RS MP from Maharashtra and BJP Manipur Pradesh in-charge Dr Ajit Gopchade, Chief Secretary Dr Puneet Kumar Goel, Security Advisor Kuldiep Singh, DGP Mukesh Singh and senior police officers and Government officials.
The rally began at Hapta Kangjeibung in Imphal East, passed through National Highway 102, Khongjom War Memorial, Thoubal district, Kakching district and concluded at the 8th Battalion Manipur Rifles camp in Leikun, Chandel district.
DC Chandel Momoni Doley, ADGP (HR/HG) Dr IK Muivah and district officials attended the programme at Chandel.
Certificates of participation were distributed to members of biker clubs in recognition of their involvement in the Har Ghar Tiranga rally.
