ABVP observes 77th foundation day

Imphal, July 09 2025: On the occasion of the 77th foundation day of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and National Students Day, ABVP Manipur organized a series of programmes across nine different campuses in various districts of the State.

The events were held at Manipur University (MU), Central Agricultural University (CAU), RIMS, Maharaja Bodhachandra (MB) College, Model Higher Secondary School, INA Auditorium, Chingtam Foundation School, Kangleipak Modem School and NIT Manipur, according to a press release issued by ABVP Manipur.

At MU, the event was led by Professor Premlata Meisnam, State President of ABVP Manipur, who addressed the students and emphasized the historical journey of ABVP .

At CAU, Imphal, a thought-provoking session was organized with Bhagwat Singh and Naorem Praveen (IAS), Secretary of Education (S) as special guests.

They interacted with students on the theme "Samarth Yuva, Viksit Bharat" (Capable Youth for a Developed India), focusing on the intersection of agriculture, innovation, and youth power.

Meanwhile, in collaboration with RIMS, Imphal, ABVP organized a blood donation camp, where students and volunteers came forward in large numbers.

At MB College, Professor Premlata Meisnam once again inspired students through her address on academic discipline and the role of student organizations in shaping public discourse.

At Model Higher Secondary School, RK Yaikhomba Singh, State organizing secretary of ABVP Manipur, encouraged students to become responsible citizens and to uphold the values of education, culture, and National pride.

A felicitation ceremony was held at INA Auditorium, Moirang, to honour meritorious students from the region.

The event was attended by Thounaojam Basanta Singh, MLA, Nambol AC; Pooja Elangbam (IAS), Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur and Kamlesh Singh, National secretary of ABVP .

At Chingtam Foundation School, Thoubal, an essay writing competition was held on themes - "Role of Youth in Nation Building" and "Education for Social Change".

In Kangleipak Modem School, a special "Environment Awareness Session" was organized to educate students on sustainable living, climate change, and their responsibility in environmental conservation.

Lastly, at NIT Manipur, L Kamei, State vice-president of ABVP Manipur, engaged engineering students in a seminar discussing innovation, research, and national reconstruction.

The celebrations witnessed participation from students, teachers, and dignitaries from various walks of life.
