Single digit spike on with 4 more detected

Imphal, September 05 2022: Continuing with the single digit count, the State reported 4 new COVID-19 cases and zero fatalities during the last 24 hours.

The 4 cases, all from the general population, were reported from Imphal West (2), Churachandpur (1) and Kakching (1) .

As the 4 cases were found positive out of 284 samples tested at various testing centres, the daily positivity rate was reported at 1.4 percent.

With the addition of these four cases, the cumulative number of positive cases in the State has reached 1,39,742 including 5020 CAPF personnels and 1,34,722 from the general population.

As no COVID-19 related deaths were reported during the last 24 hours, the death toll stayed at 2148 .

Today, 3 individuals were discharged after completion of surveillance leaving 62 active cases in the State.

The recovery rate is not at 98.42 percent.

Only 82 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered yesterday.

Till yesterday the State had vaccinated 62.35 percent of its eligible population with first doses of COVID-19 vaccines while 54.52 percent had received their second doses.
