Imphal, July 04 2024: The Government of Manipur has declared a public holiday for all Government offices including public sector undertakings, corporations, autonomous bodies and societies, all banks, financial institutions and LIC etc on July 5 .

Deputy Secretary (GAD) Angom Heera Singh issued an order to this effect today.

However, for departments involved in rescue and relief operation and essential services namely; Home, Police, Fire Service, District Administration, Relief and Disaster Management, Power, Health & Family Welfare, PHE, Water Resources, PWD, GAD, CAF&PD, MI, Forests, LDA etc July 5 shall remain a working day.

Moreover, officers/employees of all other departments would also be available on phone call for any eventuality, the order added.
