Imphal, October 03:
While extending solidarity to the innocent civilians victimised by troops of Assam Rifles in the aftermath of the ambush undertaken by PREPAK against an Assam Rifles convoy in the night of September 30 at Kakching Khunou in which one AR personnel was killed and another injured, the proscribed PREPAK has flayed the alleged excesses committed by AR troops against innocent civilians.
A press statement issued by PREPAK Assistant Publicity Secretary Aheiba Angom remarked that the conduct of the AR troops exposed their alleged timid nature and inhuman side.
The act of targeting unarmed civilians while unable to face Red Army was deliberately perpetrated to remind the people of Kangleipak that they are under alien rule.
Yet, the outfit maintained that the ongoing liberation struggle is a continuous and unrestrained one.
Asserting that the people will continue to face atrocities of all kinds at the hands of security forces any time, anywhere, PREPAK stated that even if an ambush is undertaken miles away from civilian settlement area, security forces will turn their wrath to villagers who they come across first on their way.
Such nature of security forces will never change.
As such, people should be always alert and on guard.
The outfit maintained that people should not bear the atrocities of security forces in silence.
It called upon the people to show to New Delhi and the world that Manipur was once sovereign and that Manipuris know no defeat and cannot be subjugated.
Aheiba also refuted any connection whatsoever between the outfit and Mutum Romeo who was apprehended by 24 AR from Moreh ward no.7 on September 29 on the charge of being a lieutenant in PREPAK (Romeo group).
He clarified that there is no Romeo group in PREPAK nor any lieutenant by the name of Romeo.
