Imphal, May 03 2025: BJP's North East coordinator Sambit Patra is likely to visit Imphal on May 5 amid the changing political equation in Manipur.

This development comes days after 21 MLAs submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to reinstate a popular Government in Manipur which has been under President's Rule since February 13, 2025.According to sources, Sambit Patra will meet party MLAs and leaders in Imphal to discuss the political turmoil.

Some BJP leaders in Manipur have reportedly been informed about Sambit Patra's potential visit on May 5, though it could not be officially confirmed.

The sources suggested that Sambit Patra's visit to Imphal might be connected to efforts to form a popular Government in Manipur.
