New year greetings pour in

Imphal, December 31 2024:
Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya, Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly Th Satyabrata and Education Minister Th Basanta Kumar have extended their New Year greetings to the people of Manipur.
The Governor, in his message, appealed to all to take a resolution to work together for harmony and progress in all parts of Manipur 'as we enter 2025' .
He also prayed for the coming year to bring joy and prosperity for everyone.
Chief Minister N Biren also greeted the people.
He said that the end of the year and the start of a new one is always a time for reflection and contemplation.
Saying that 2024 has been a difficult year for the State, the Chief Minister appealed to all to overcome the barriers of hatred and fear and try once again to give the people of Manipur the taste of life through the joy of giving and sharing of space and love.
"I pray that the follies of the past will guide us with the wisdom of experience," he said while conveying his New Year greetings.
Speaker Th Satyabrata, on the other hand, said "Together we can overcome any challenge and build a brighter, more inclusive future for Manipur" .
Extending his greetings, he appealed to one and all to carry forward the spirit of harmony and determination 'that define us.'
"As we usher in the New Year 2025, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of Manipur", said Th Basanta Kumar in his message.
Saying that 2024 was filled with challenges and triumphs, the Minister appealed to all to embrace the spirit of resilience and hope.
MAHUD Minister Y Khemchand, while extending his greetings, prayed for the New Year to bring peace and prosperity in the State.
"Let us pray together for a favourable peaceful environment around us where people of different communities live happily with a strong sense of brotherhood," he said.
Different organisations viz Communist Party of India, Manipur State Council; International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA); Meitei Cheingak; Koren (Koireng) Youth Organisation Manipur; Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF); Manipur People's Democratic Front (MPDF) and its women wing and Patsoi Kendra Development Council also conveyed their New Year greetings to the people.
