Kakching, July 19 2025: A tree plantation drive under Ek Ped Maake Naam 2.0 initiative was held on Saturday at the school campus of Padma Ratna English School at Kakching Wairi Panjao Pallum.

Young students, along with their mothers, planted saplings in honour of their mothers.

The programme was jointly organised by Padma Ratna English School, Zonal Education Office (ZEO) Kakching, department of education (S) Samagra Shiksha Manipur and the forest department under the theme A step for both Mother and Mother Earth.

The event was attended by Padma Ratna English School principal Thokchom Jiten, Eco Club teacher in-charge Naorem Ibosana, club member students, teachers of classes KG I and II, non-teaching staff and parents.
