Army holds security meet, career guidance session

In a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening community ties and enhancing security measures, Indian Army organised events in Churachandpur district on Monday.
A security meeting was held at Changpikot, which was attended by ten village chiefs and local villagers from the area.
The meeting provided a vital platform for villagers to voice their concerns regarding security, agricultural activities in fringe areas, and the election of new leaders for the Village Chiefs and Youth Association.
The Army expressed appreciation for the support received from the villagers and reassured them of their commitment to maintaining peace in the region.
The dialogue culminated with the Army assuring continued assistance and support to the community and stressed the importance of fostering strong relationships, enhancing coordination, and ensuring the safety and harmony of the region.
In another event, Indian Army organised an interactive career guidance session and felicitation programme for the youth of Zalenphai village.
This session, attended by the village chief and local residents, aimed to provide high school students with valuable insights and mentorship on various career opportunities available after their 10th and 12th standards, as well as post-graduation.
A highlight of the programme was the felicitation of eight students who excelled in their high school exams.
Five students were honoured for their performance in the Class 12 exams, and three students for their achievements in the Class 10 exams.
