Imphal, October 31 2024: Assam Rifles organised "A Day with Company Commander" at Company Operating Base (COB) at Nampisha in Kamjong district on Wednesday.

A total of 23 locals, including women and children from Ningchou, Meiti, Nampisha, and Kangpat Khunou villages, participated in the community-focused event.

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to interact with Assam Rifles personnel and tour the base, providing them with a closer look at its daily operations and facilities.

Additionally, games and activities, including a friendly volleyball match with local youths, were organised to engage the school-going children.

A special felicitation ceremony honoured village elders, authority members, and pastors, recognising their invaluable contributions to the community.

The day ended on a joyful note with the distribution of sweets and chocolates to the children, according to a PRO IGAR (S) press release.
